Everything isn't as it seems in this dark and devious world. Sometimes things are more than they seem, everything seeming to have a double meaning. It's not like we humans would know that, though. What I'm speaking of lurks in the shadows, creating our nightmares and fears. Sometimes spiking our desires and then ripping them apart. There are those who are opposite though, angelic, even. Still, they are in the shadows, lurking in places we can never place, never consider. Even our technology would never be able to detect them. In the end, though, they were all created from
Hell's Pool.

Who would have known that drowning in a lake of water would mean that Hell brimmed over within your soul? Or at least, you had fallen into a cursed premisis. Ever since the harsh reality that many people went missing in the forest in 1895, there has always been murmurs amongst people that the forest was actually cursed. Little did they know, it was the lake within it.
Deciding to do as they pleased (we are now in present day), several teens decided they would all go out together and explore the forest. Night brimmed over, and they found themselves walking in circles, drunk by the moonlight. Then, before they knew it, it felt as if they were swimming in lava. Which, in a sense, they were. They had fallen into "Hell's Pool", and their souls were slowly dying within them. When they awaken the next morning on the lakes beach, they are forever changed.

Rules
1. You must use correct grammar, and constantly have long replies.
2. No god-modding. When you create a power for your person, make it actually good. You must remember that we are trying to be as realistic as we possibly can get within this, even if it is a little out of the norm.
3. No one is stronger than Calais. That is a set rule, special for the meaning of the plot. She is the first one to awaken.
4. You CANNOT ever have a character that had awakened in a batch of different changed before the one where Calais awoken. There is a separate plot that will come into play later on. This also means no humans knowing about the kids that drowned and "changed".
5. You may only have two characters. So please choose wisely.
6. You may not have wings. Onlyc certain characters will have wings. This includes Calais, Jace, and Cayto.
