Welcome to the world of Faery. A magical world full of
creatures that you thought were myths and have never heard of. Some of these
creatures roam our Realm and take shelter here in the three Courts, rather than
back in their own realm where the High Queen rules the High Court.
Among our world, in proximity to one another are the three
other courts. Summer, Winter, and Dark. All are by either a King, Queen, or
both. Each court manages to coexist despite the conflicts, or brawls between
their subjects. However they still have their differences which set them apart
and keep them separated. There is one thing they have in common though and that
is- Playing with humans. Be it the Dark torturing for nourishment, the Winter
out of spite, or the Summer for a fun pass time and pleasure. They all twist
the fates of the humans that come into contact with them… Welcome to the World
of Faery.
**If you are human, you may be a normal one that catches a
faery’s interest or one with The Sight. The Sight is a gift/curse that is
passed down through genetics that allows humans to see the faeries. But humans
with the Sight are supposed to keep this hidden, for if the Fey found out, it
can’t be good.**
**Faeries can’t be seen by humans, unless they have a
glamour on. This skill is one almost all fey have, but it’s harder to maintain
near iron, or for long periods of time if they are weak. **
Courts:
High Court; The High Court is the essence of order and the
opposing to the Dark Court. It was one of the first Fey Courts and resides in
Faerie.
Summer Court; The Summer Court controls the essence of
Summer and is responsible for awakening the Earth after Winter has passed. The
Summer Court is the opposing court of the Winter Court. It is known for being
very volatile; it is the court of pleasure and passion.
Winter Court; The Winter Court is the opposing to the Summer
Court and has the job of putting the earth to sleep and covering it with snow
and ice. The ruler is known for always appearing calm, collected, sometimes
cruel, usually they have control of their emotions, but if you make them lose
that control things are not in your favor.
Dark Court; The Dark Court is the opposite to the High
Court. It is thought to have been one of the original two courts; the Dark
Court left Faerie to live among humans, and the High Court stayed. It is the
court of the darker emotions and realities; the court of temptation. Dark Court
fey feed off what Irial calls the "finer" emotions in other fey:
pain, fear, lust, jealousy and rage. As such, the Dark Court thrives during
periods of turmoil among the fey and weakens during periods of peace. The
Monarch of the Dark Court is always chosen from among the Solitary fey, to give
the court balance. Without this, the court would self-destruct.
Some Types of Faeries:
Rowan Men; Usually found in the Summer Court and make up most of the Royal
Guard. Most appear to have red eyes, dark leafy green hair and when they move
it sounds like rustling leaves.
Hags-Usually found in the Winter Court. They all appear old and wither, but are
strong enough to tear off the limbs from the oldest trolls.
Demi-Succubus; Would be considered to be found in the Dark
Court, but they have been seen in the Summer Court. They have small horns on
their heads and leathery, butterfly-like wings.
Gancanagh; Or a beautiful male faery known for seducing
mortals. Gancanaghs are thought to have an addictive toxin in their skin that
make the humans they seduce literally addicted to them. Humans seduced by this
type of faerie typically die from the withdrawal. They are addicted to mortals
just as the mortals become addicted to them, but if one rules the Dark Court
there addiction goes away.
Summer Girls; Girls that used to be human, but became
faeries through the Summer King’s kiss. They are loyal to the Summer King and
usually never say no to him. They can be found dancing and having fun with the
other faeries of the Court, but if they wish they say no to the guards and other
faeries. They are openly affectionate and have vine like tattoos that cover body
and appear to move like they are alive.
Lion Fey; The lion faeries are described as some of the few
fey that don't try to cause trouble. The majority--if not all--of the lion fey
seem to belong to the Summer Court. They appear younger looking than the other
faeries and are sometimes servers.
Wolf Fey; They act very much like lupine and are usually
referred to as Lupine fey rather than wolf. They have crystalline fur that chimes
like glass when they move, giving off a trusting melody. They run on all fours
and have holly-red eyes. They appear more animal like than human.
Hounds; They are a
group of fey that is always led by an alpha who is always called Gabriel, or
Gabrielle if female, the name is not actually their real name. They are independent,
but occasionally ally themselves with the Dark Court. Their very presence
strikes fear into not only mortals, but fey as well. They feed off fear and
other emotions associated with it. They have their own “steeds” that can change
their form at will, but usually they appear as ferocious unknown beasts. Their
steeds have mind links to their Hound. When Gabriel and his hounds are with the
Dark Court, he is usually referred as the “left hand” of the current ruler.

are stronger than regular fey which allows them to remain so, rather than tied
down to a Court for protection.*
